A Rogue AI Has Taken Control - Can You Stop It?
The system has been breached!
The clock is ticking!
And your team is the last line of defence.
In a not-so-distant future where rogue AIs rule the web and digital viruses infect everything from traffic lights to tech hubs, one dangerous variant has taken control of a nuclear reactor's core systems. Now it's up to you to stop it.
Welcome to Overload by Brain Cell, a fast-paced, challenge set inside a high-pressure control room on the brink of meltdown. Working as a team, you'll face a series of dynamic puzzles and logic traps, each one more cunning than the last. The AI will fight back, adapting to your moves and trying to trip you up at every turn. Can you think fast, stay sharp, and regain control before the reactor goes critical?
What to expect:
60-minute, high-adrenaline gameplay built for teams of 1–6 players
A fusion of immersive storytelling and hands-on problem-solving
Ideal for competitive friends, curious minds, and thrill-seeking families
Possibly the hardest Challenge Room in NZ! (We’re yet to have a group stop the clock before the 60minutes run out!)
Brain Cell isn’t just about smarts - it’s about composure under pressure. Will you save the system - or be shut down with it?
-
Brain Cell is an immersive, mind-bending puzzle experience that drops you into the core of a mysterious high-tech facility where a rebellious AI has taken control of the main reactor management device. You and your team must solve interconnected challenges to regain control of the reactor before its too late. It's fast-paced, clever, and unlike anything you’ve tried before.
-
The Brain Cell experience takes approximately 60-70 minutes, including briefing and debriefing. Puzzle time itself is about 60 minutes, but you’ll want to leave extra time to celebrate your win (or laugh about your glorious failure).
-
Brain Cell is designed for 2–6 players per session. It’s perfect for couples, teenage families, and small friend groups. Larger groups can split into teams and compete for the best score!
-
Not at all. Brain Cell is exciting and intense, but not frightening. There are no horror elements, jump scares, or actors. Just cleverly designed puzzles, slick tech, and a dash of mystery.
-
No puzzle experience required! Brain Cell is designed to be accessible to first-timers and still challenging for seasoned escape room fans. Teamwork, curiosity, and a sense of adventure are your biggest assets.
We do however rate ourselves as one of if not the hardest challenge room in NZ!
-
Brain Cell is best suited for players aged 12 and up. Anyone under 14 must be accompanied by a paying adult. The puzzles involve logical thinking, physical elements, and digital interaction.
-
There’s no crawling, climbing or heavy lifting.
Comfortable footwear is a plus as you’ll be standing the whole time!
-
Absolutely! Each team’s journey is different depending on how they approach the puzzles. If you want to beat your own time or try it with new teammates, we fully support your return (and may even surprise you with something new).
-
Booking ahead is recommended, especially during weekends, holidays, or peak times. Walk-ins are welcome if there’s space, but we can’t guarantee availability.
